It’s almost here!

This accelerated hybrid academy combines 6 weeks of online academic instruction with 14 consecutive days of in-person hands-on skills training. Designed to provide flexibility without compromising quality, students will complete coursework remotely before attending intensive in-person training focused on firefighting fundamentals, safety, and practical skills required for certification.

The Weekend Fire Academy is an 8-weekend program (totaling 16 in-person skills days) designed for those needing a flexible training schedule. Students complete assigned online coursework between weekends and attend hands-on training every Saturday and Sunday. The final weekend focuses on EMS training for non-medical providers, ensuring all students meet TCFP certification standards, including the required EMS component.

Bring the fire academy to your department. Our Traveling Fire Academy sends certified instructors directly to your fire station to deliver hands-on skills training tailored to your department’s schedule. Whether weekends or weekdays, we offer flexible scheduling to meet your operational needs.

CTRTA offers standalone courses tailored to help students complete unmet components of their certification pathway.
